LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Clippers got center Cheikh Samb and cash considerations Monday from the Denver Nuggets for a future second-round pick.

Denver got Samb earlier in the season from Detroit in the Chauncey Billups-Allen Iverson trade. Samb averaged 12.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.8 blocks in 10 games with the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League.

He played in six games with the Nuggets, averaging 0.7 points and 1.5 rebounds.

The Clippers also waived forward Paul Davis and guard Fred Jones. Davis averaged 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 80 career games in LA, while Jones appeared in five games with the team after signing Dec. 28, and averaged 6.6 points and 1.4 assists.
