COL BKB: Notre Dame 73, Georgetown 67

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Luke Harangody had 31 points and 11 rebounds Monday to lead 13th-ranked Notre Dame to a 73-67 victory over 10th-ranked Georgetown.

Kyle McAlarney added 17 points for Notre Dame (11-3, 2-1 Big East), which increased its home winning streak to 44 games -- longest current streak in the nation. Tory Jackson had 10 points and seven assists for the Fighting Irish who earned their fifth win in their last six games.

Greg Monroe had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead Georgetown (10-3, 1-2), which has lost two in a row, including a 70-54 loss Saturday to now-No.1 Pittsburgh.

Chris Wright added 13 points and DaJuan Summers 11 for the Hoyas.
