PITTSBURGH, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Nathan Horton scored his ninth and 10th goals this season Saturday to lead the Florida Panthers' surprisingly easy 6-1 rout of Pittsburgh.
Florida led, 2-0, after the first period on goals by Ville Peltonen and Horton, and never trailed after that.
Bryan McCabe had a power-play goal and one assist. Richard Zednik (power play) and Michael Frolik also scored, while Craig Anderson was credited with 29 saves on 30 shots for the Panthers -- who snapped a four-game losing streak and bagged their first win in Pittsburgh since Dec. 5, 2006.
Pittsburgh's goal was scored by Ruslan Fedotenko at 1:37 of the second period.
Marc-Andre Fleury and Dany Sabourin gave up a combined six goals on 30 shots in the Penguins' fourth loss in a row and their worst this season on home ice. Each goalie allowed three goals.
On the power play, Florida went 2-for-7, and Pittsburgh went 0-for-3.
