BOSTON, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Matt Ellis had two goals and an assist Saturday to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 4-2 win over Boston, ending the Bruins' 10-game winning streak.

Ellis scored his second goal this season in the first period and then added his third score of the season in the third. He also assisted on Paul Gaustad's fourth goal in the second period.

Thomas Vanek scored, Jason Pominville had two assists and Ryan Miller made 29 saves on 31 shots in the Sabres' second straight win.

Boston got one goal apiece from Phil Kessel and Shawn Thornton. Tim Thomas was beaten four times on 25 shots for the Bruins, who had won 14 straight games on home ice.

The Sabres were 1-for-3 on the power play and the Bruins went 1-for-5.

Before Saturday, the home team had won each of the first four contests this season between the Northeast Division rivals.
