PHOENIX, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire and Shaquille O'Neal helped Phoenix build a big lead in the fourth quarter Friday and the Suns held on to down the Los Angeles Clippers 106-98.
Stoudemire led the way with 23 points as part of the Suns' third straight victory. O'Neal added 17 points and Jason Richardson had 15.

The Clippers, who lost their sixth straight, were paced by Marcus Camby with 23 and Eric Gordon with 21.
Phoenix pushed its lead to 21 points midway through the final period before the Clippers went on a 15-3 run. Los Angeles, however, came no closer than eight points down the stretch.
