
CLEVELAND, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- LeBron James had a triple-double and Anderson Varejao scored a career-best 26 points Friday night, lifting the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 117-92 win over Chicago.
James scored 16 points, handed out 11 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds for his first triple-double of the season and the 18th of his career.
Cleveland remained unbeaten in 17 home games this season. Delonte West contributed 14 points and the Cavaliers got 13 each from Ben Wallace, Aleksandar Pavlovic and J.J. Hickson.
Ben Gordon scored 22 for Chicago, which has lost six out of eight.
Cleveland put together a 12-2 run midway through the second quarter en route to a 61-47 advantage at halftime, and then scored the first 11 points of the third period.
Prior to the game, Cleveland announced Zydrunas Ilgauskas would miss at least two weeks with a small fracture in his left ankle.
