TORONTO, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Pavel Kubina's power-play goal 33 seconds into overtime Tuesday produced a 4-3 Toronto victory over Atlanta.
With Atlanta defenseman Tobias Enstrom off for interference, Kubina stepped into a slap shot from the inner edge of the left circle and sent it into the net with Dominic Moore providing a screen.
Jason Blake, Nikolai Kulemin and Lee Stempniak also scored for the Maple Leafs, who ended a three-game losing streak. Curtis Joseph stopped 29 shots to earn his first win of the season and 450th career triumph.
Bryan Little, Jim Slater and Colby Armstrong scored for the Thrashers, who lost for the fourth time in five games. Atlanta goalie Johan Hedberg made 43 saves.
