HOUSTON, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Rafer Alston made three of Houston's seven free throws over the final 37 seconds Wednesday, allowing the Rockets to fight off Milwaukee 85-81.

Houston saw a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter dwindle to just one before the Rockets came through at the line.

Yao Ming led Houston with 22 points and 10 rebounds, helping the Rockets to their second win in three games. Ron Artest added 15 points and had two of the late foul shots.

Michael Redd scored 20 for the Bucks and Richard Jefferson had 16.

Houston played without Shane Battier, who is day-to-day with a foot injury. The Rockets now embark on a five-game road trip.
