DURHAM, N.C., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Kyle Singler and Gerald Henderson helped Duke to a quick start Wednesday and the No. 5 Blue Devils went on to thrash Loyola (Md.) 92-51.

Singler had 20 points and Henderson had 19. Duke scored the game's first eight points and had an 18-5 lead just six minutes into the contest.

Duke (11-1) extended its home winning streak against non-conference opponents to 66 games.

Brian Rudolph scored 13 for the Greyhounds (4-9), who have lost six of their last eight games.

Duke built a 48-23 halftime lead in what was the second meeting between the schools. The Blue Devils hit 54.5 percent from the field, but made only one three-point attempt in a dozen tries.
