DALLAS, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Evgeni Nabokov stopped 28 shots Monday when the San Jose Sharks posted a 3-1 win over Dallas Stars.

Jonathan Cheechoo, Milan Michalek and Ryane Clowe each scored for San Jose, which has won three of four. The Sharks have won all three games so far this season against Dallas, which beat San Jose in last season's Western Conference semifinals.

The Sharks lead the NHL Pacific Division and Western Conference with 60 points, while the loss kept Dallas at the bottom of the Pacific Division with 35 points.

San Jose is the first team in the NHL this season to reach 60 points.

Matt Niskanen scored the lone goal for the Stars. Marty Turco blocked 16-of-18 shots in the loss for Dallas.
