NBA: New Orleans 97, Washington 85

NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Chris Paul's triple-double Tuesday carried the New Orleans Hornets past the Washington Wizards 97-85.

Paul finished the night with had 15 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds.

Rasual Butler scored 21 points and David West added 20 for the Hornets, who have won seven of their last nine games. James Posey had 14 points and Tyson Chandler 11 points and 11 rebounds for New Orleans.

Antawn Jamison had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Wizards, who have lost nine of their last 11 games. Mike James added 16 points and seven assists for Washington.
