
EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Eric Cole had a goal and two assists and sparked a three-goal second-period outburst Sunday night to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 5-2 win over Nashville.
Sam Gagner and Sheldon Souray finished with a goal and an assist each, and Dwyane Roloson stopped 28 shots for Edmonton, which has won three straight after losing three in a row.
Shea Weber and Martin Erat had the goals for Nashville, and Dan Ellis allowed four goals on 17 shots before being lifted for Pekka Rinne, who let in one goal on 16 shots.
With the game tied at 2-2, Cole scored his fifth goal of the season at 10:50 of the second period. Andrew Cogliano scored his 10th goal 40 seconds later to put Edmonton up 402, and Gagner capped the scoring 36 seconds later.
