Tommie Harris' wife dies

ATLANTA, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- A 45-yard touchdown run by Jerious Norwood with 3:41 to play Sunday lifted the Atlanta Falcons to a 31-21 win over the St. Louis Rams.
Atlanta (11-5) will be seeded No. 5 in the NFC playoffs. The Falcons got the seed after Carolina knocked off New Orleans 33-21.
Norwood also scored on an 8-yard run in a game that sent the Rams to their 10th straight defeat.
Michael Turner ran for 208 yards and a touchdown, and Matt Ryan completed 10-of-21 passes for 160 yards and a score, with two interceptions, for the Falcons.
Marc Bulger passed for 230 yards and a touchdown for the Rams (2-14).
