COL BKB: Michigan State 82, Oakland 66

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Goran Suton had 16 points and nine rebounds Saturday when No. 18 Michigan State converted a big first-half run into an 82-66 win over Oakland.

Kalin Lucas added 15 points and Travis Walton 14 for Michigan State (9-2), which won its fifth straight game.

Keith Benson scored 20 points and Erik Kangas 15 for Oakland (8-7), which had won seven of nine going into the game.

Oakland held a 28-26 lead with just over 4 minutes left before halftime, but Michigan State scored 18 of the half's final 20 points.
