
PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers with 30 points Thursday night to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 102-94 win over Portland.
Jason Terry scored 19 points and Jose Juan Barea had eight points and eight rebounds for Dallas, which closed out the game with a 12-2 run to collect its third straight win. The Mavericks are 15-4 since losing five straight games in November.
Josh Howard was ejected in the third quarter as he argued a flagrant foul call against him. Howard finished with 15 points.
Jason Kidd had six points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for Dallas.
Brandon Roy led the Trail Blazers with 22 points. Steve Blake had 14 points and seven assists for Portland, which lost for just the second time in its last five games.
