Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft
NEW YORK, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- After passing for 364 yards in a 31-24 victory against Jacksonville, Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning is the AFC offensive player of the week.
The 11-year veteran from Tennessee completed 29-of-34 passes and three touchdowns, which helped the Colts clinch their seventh straight playoff appearance.
Manning completed his first 17 passes and surpassed former Miami quarterback Dan Marino for the most awards (18) since it was originated in 1984.
Other AFC POW's were Cincinnati cornerback Leon Hall (defense) and Baltimore punter Sam Koch (special teams).
Hall, in his second season year from Michigan, made five tackles and intercepted a career-high three passes, including an interception-touchdown return in the Bengals' 14-0 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Koch, in his third NFL season, punted five times for 261 yards (a 52.2-yard average), including two punts inside the 20-yard line and a long of 61 yards in the Ravens' 33-24 victory against the Dallas Cowboys.
