SAN DIEGO, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Aaron Brown rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown Tuesday to lifting No. 11 TCU to a 17-16 victory over No. 9 Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl.

The Horned Frogs (11-2) trailed 13-7 at halftime despite holding a 188 to minus-7 edge in second-quarter yardage.

TCU quarterback Andy Dalton had 75 yards rushing and 198 yards passing on 22-of-35 completions. Joseph Turner rushed for 79 yards

The Horned Frogs had 272 yards rushing -- 20 more than Boise State's total yardage -- and had 62 receiving yards from both Walter Bryant and Jimmy Young.

Boise State's (12-1) loss left Utah as the lone unbeaten team left in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Kellen Moore had 223 yards and one interception on 22-of-35 passing.

Boise State's Ian Johnson got his 58th career rushing touchdown in the first quarter, moving him past Marshall Faulk into the top spot in the WAC.
