NEWARK, N.J., Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Tim Thomas continued his hot hand this season, making 25 saves for his third shutout, a 2-0 Boston victory over New Jersey.

Thomas ended Phil Kessel's NHL-best 18-game point streak.

The Bruins' goals came from Milan Lucic and David Krejci.

Devils goalie Scott Clemmensen came up with 22 saves, battling Thomas through two scoreless periods before Chara slid the puck through his pads just 49 seconds into the third period.

It was Boston's sixth win in a row. New Jersey had won its previous three games.
