UNIONDALE, N.Y., Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Bryan Little's power-play goal in the third period -- his second score of the night -- was the game-winner Tuesday in a 4-2 Atlanta win over the N.Y. Islanders.

It was the Islanders' 10th consecutive defeat, their longest since losing 10 in a row Dec. 22, 1997, through Jan. 10, 1998.

The Thrashers also got goals from Mathieu Schneider and Colby Armstrong. Ilya Kovalchuk had two assists -- the 500th and 501st in his career in his 500th NHL game.

Johan Hedberg came up with 23 stops for Atlanta, winners of two of its last three.

The Islanders' goals came from Andy Hilbert and Sean Bergenheim (short-handed).
