NFL: Oakland 27, Houston 16

OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Oakland's Johnnie Lee Higgins ran a punt back 80 yards for a touchdown and caught a pass for another score Sunday in a 27-16 Raiders' win over Houston.

JaMarcus Russell connected on 18-of-25 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns, one of them a 29-yarder to Higgins, for Oakland (4-11). Chaz Schilens caught the other Oakland scoring pass on a 20-yard play.

Sebastian Janikowski booted field goals of 33 and 30 yards for the Raiders.

Matt Schaub passed for 255 yards and was intercepted once for Houston (7-8), which had won its previous four games.

Vonta Leach ran for a 1-yard touchdown and Kris Brown kicked three field goals, one from 53 yards, for the Texans.
