WASHINGTON, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Jason Terry and Dirk Nowitzki combined for 48 points for the Dallas Mavericks Sunday in a 97-86 win over the Washington Wizards.
The Mavericks led by just two points after three quarters but began the fourth with an 11-5 run and held off Washington the rest of the way.
Terry hit 25 points and Nowitzki had 23 points and nine rebounds. Devean George added 10 points for the Mavs, who have won four of their last six games.
Washington was led by Antawn Jamison with 22 points and Caron Butler with 18.
The Wizards have won just one of their last 10 contests.
