
ATLANTA, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Mike Bibby's game-high 27 points Sunday paced the Atlanta Hawks' 85-78 win over the Detroit Pistons.
He sank two key jump shots in the fourth period, the last of which gave Atlanta an insurmountable 82-76 lead with 2:05 left.
Also, Joe Johnson scored 19 with five rebounds and seven assists. Al Horford compiled 11 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, and Josh Smith added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Hawks, who have won four of five during their season-long eight-game homestand.
Rodney Stuckey and Rasheed Wallace led Detroit with 20 points apiece.
Richard Hamilton scored 16,and Allen Iverson scored 10 with six assists and five rebounds.
Stuckey also had nine rebounds and three assists and Wallace added five rebounds and four assists in the Pistons' third loss to the Hawks in their last 10 visits to Atlanta.
