
ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Jameer Nelson scored 27 points with five assists Saturday night to help the Orlando Magic overturn the Los Angeles Lakers, 106-103.
Nelson's effort trumped Kobe Bryant's season-high 41 points. Rashard Lewis totaled 22 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Dwight Howard had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and his two free throws with three seconds remaining sealed the victory. Hedo Turkoglu added 14 points, five rebounds and seven assists in the Magic's fourth straight win and eighth in their last nine games.
Los Angeles, which led 58-49 at the break, got 27 points, five rebounds and four assists from Derek Fisher.
Pao Gasol added 11 points with seven rebounds for the Lakers, who have lost back-to- back games for the first time this season. They lost 89-87 Friday night at Miami when Bryant's final shot rattled off the rim as time expired.
