GLENDALE, Ariz., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Kyle Turris scored both Phoenix goals Thursday night and Ilya Bryzgalov made 30 saves, bringing the Coyotes a 2-1 decision over Nashville.

Phoenix halted a two-game skid thanks to the best game of the year from Turris, who has been an offensive disappointment this season but who managed his fourth and fifth goals.

He scored with just 10 seconds remaining in the first period and then broke a 1-1 tie with a wrist shot midway through the third.

The goals came against Dan Ellis, who was coming off his second shutout in five games. Ellis stopped 25 shots.

Vernon Fielder scored for Nashville to tie the game in the second period.
