ATLANTA, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Evgeni Malkin scored twice Thursday and Marc-Andre Fleury, playing for the first time in a month, made 28 saves in Pittsburgh's 6-3 whipping of Atlanta.

He received scoring support from Jordan Staal, Matt Cooke, Philippe Boucher and Miroslav Satan. The Penguins won for the second time in six games.

Atlanta suffered its fourth loss in five outings and has dropped 12 out of 15. Ondrej Pavelec gave up five goals on 13 shots before being removed in favor of Johan Hedberg, who stopped the six shots he faced.

Malkin gave Pittsburgh a 2-0 lead midway through the first period and his goal at 3:30 of the second made it 3-1.

Pittsburgh snapped a three-game road losing streak and beat Atlanta for the second time in as many meetings this season.
