LOS ANGELES, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Michal Rozsival scored an unassisted goal with 1:19 to play in overtime Wednesday, giving the New York Rangers a 3-2 victory over Los Angeles.

New York won its third in a row and its second in as many nights in California. The Rangers wrap up a three-game sweep through the state Saturday in San Jose.

Backup goaltender Steve Valiquette made 36 saves to get the win, boosting his record to 4-2 this season.

Rozsival gave New York a 2-1 lead midway through the second period with a power-play goal, but Valiquette surrendered a score on Dustin Brown's wrist shot 2:27 into the third.

Jason LaBarbera gave up three goals on 26 shots to take the loss.
