NBA: Portland 109, Sacramento 77

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Brandon Roy scored 29 points Tuesday -- including 15-of-15 from the free-throw line -- and Portland breezed to a 109-77 win over Sacramento.

The Trail Blazers used two runs to put the Kings in their place -- an 11-point solo spurt by Roy that gave them a 50-40 edge en route to a 54-42 halftime lead, and a 17-2 run that put them up 79-53 with under 2 minutes left in the third quarter.

Portland also got 15 points and 10 rebounds from LaMarcus Aldridge, and 12 apiece from Nicolas Batum and Rudy Fernandez. The Blazers had lost their last three outings.

John Salmons led the Kings with 21 points and Francisco Garcia finished with 12.

Sacramento shot just 31.6 percent from the field a night after delivering interim Coach Kenny Natt a win in his debut.
