NEW YORK, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- The New York Jets will have seven players and the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings six each in the Pro Bowl Feb. 8 in Honolulu, the NFL announced Tuesday.
Jets' picks on the AFC team are quarterback Brett Favre, running backs Thomas Jones and Leon Washington, guard Alan Faneca, defensive tackle Kris Jenkins, cornerback Darrelle Revis and center Nick Mangold.
Former Green Bay quarterback Favre will be in his 10th Pro Bowl -- first with the AFC -- but will not start. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, in his seventh Pro Bowl, will be the starter.
Arizona's Kurt Warner will start at quarterback for the NFC.
Giants' players on the roster include quarterback Eli Manning, guard Chris Snee and punter Jeff Feagles. Minnesota's Pro Bowlers include running back Adrian Peterson, cornerback Antoine Winfield and linemen Steve Hutchinson and Kevin Williams.
Carolina's Julius Peppers will start at defensive end for the fourth time in the all-star contest.
Pro Bowl selections are based on voting by players, coaches and fans.
