KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Phillip Rivers tossed two late fourth-quarter touchdown passes, leading San Diego's come-from-behind 22-21 win over Kansas City.

His scoring passes went to Malcolm Floyd for 4 yards with 1:13 left, and 10 yards to Vincent Jackson on a third-down play with 36 seconds left after wide receiver Kaseem Osgood recovered an onside kick.

Rivers, the NFL's top-rated passer, went 34-of-48 for 346 yards, the two touchdowns and one interception.

Despite only 39 yards on 15 carries, LaDanian Tomlinson scored his 123rd career rushing touchdown to equal Marcus Allen for second place all-time in that category.

Jackson finished with 89 yards on six receptions, while Antonio Gates compiled 78 yards on seven catches for the Chargers (6-8), who maintained their AFC postseason hopes.

Kansas City's Tyler Thigpen completed 19-of-28 passes for 171 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for one score.

Larry Johnson gained 55 yards on 17 carries for the Chiefs (2-12), who have lost nine of 10.
