CINCINNATI, D.C., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Ryan Fitzpatrick ran for one touchdown and threw for another Sunday, leading the Cincinnati Bengals to a 20-13 win over the Washington Redskins.

With Fitzpatrick accounting for two touchdowns, Cincinnati built a 14-0 first quarter lead and never trailed.

The loss likely ended Washington's faint playoff hopes.

Fitzpatrick completed 16-of-29 passes for 209 yards and a 12-yard scoring pass to Chris Henry following Chris Cooley's fumble.

Running back Cedric Benson gained 161 all-purpose yards (73 rushing, 88 receiving), while Shayne Graham kicked two field goals for the Bengals (2-11-1), who averted their worst single-season record by getting their first win since Nov. 2, 21-19 over Jacksonville.

In a stale and conservative offense, Washington's Jason Campbell went 17-for-28 for 167 yards and one touchdown.

Clinton Portis rushed for 77 yards on 25 carries.

Shaun Suisam booted two field goals and Rock Cartwright returned a fourth-quarter kickoff 87 yards for the Redskins (7-7), who have lost five of six.
