NAPLES, Fla., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Scott Hoch and Kenny Perry teamed to shoot a 12-under 60 Sunday and coasted to a four-shot victory at the Merrill Lynch Shootout at Naples, Fla.

It was the second win at the event for Perry, who earned the title in 2005 while paired with John Huston.

Hoch, who plays most of his golf on the Champions Tour, and Perry played three rounds at the Tiburon Golf Club in 31-under 185.

Sunday's closing round was played in the scramble format, in which each player hits a tee shot and then both play from the spot where the better shot lands. That continues until the hole is completed.

J.B. Holmes and Boo Weekley, who teamed during this year's successful U.S. Ryder Cup effort, shot a 60 Sunday for a 189 total. Tournament host Greg Norman and Camilo Villegas were two shots back in third.

Hoch and Perry eagled both the sixth and 17th holes. Defending champions Woody Austin and Mark Calcavecchia finished in 11th place.
