WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Harvey Hale led Wake Forest to a hot-shooting performance with five three-pointers Sunday and the No. 11 Demon Deacons downed Wright State 66-53.

Hale scored 17 points and L.D. Williams added 11, helping Wake Forest run its winning streak at the start of the season to nine games.

Wake Forest had not played in eight days, but showed no rust while making 52.2 percent of its shots from the field. The Demon Deacons did commit 22 turnovers, however, leading to 22 points for the Raiders.

Wright State (2-7) was led by John David Gardner with 14 points.

Wake Forest used an 11-0 run in the second half to build as much as a 21-point advantage.
