DENVER, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Dustin Byfuglien's second goal put Chicago in front with 6:09 to play Friday and the Blackhawks held on to defeat Colorado 4-3.

Craig Adams and Andrew Ladd also scored for Chicago, winner of three in a row and four out of five. The Blackhawks got 18 saves from Nikolai Khabibulin.

Colorado's goals came from Wojtek Wolski, Ian Laperriere and Chris Stewart. Defenseman Adam Foote recorded an assist in his first game since coming off the injured reserve. He had been not been on the active roster since Nov. 24 because of neck and back problems.

Peter Budaj took the loss while making 26 saves.

With the game heading into its final minutes, Chicago's Martin Havlat fired a shot from the right circle. It was blocked by the defense, but Havlat recovered the puck and threw a centering pass to Byfuglien, who fired a one-timer past Budaj for the game-winner.
