PHOENIX, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Grant Hill scored on a reverse layup with 2 seconds to play Friday, giving the Phoenix Suns a dramatic 113-112 victory over Orlando.
The Magic had a four-game winning streak halted and lost on the road for only the third time in 12 outings. Orlando had handed Portland its first home loss of the year Tuesday.
The Magic held a one-point lead at halftime, but Amare Stoudemire put the Suns in front in the opening moments of the third period and they kept the lead until Hedo Turkoglu hit a jumper for Orlando with 9 seconds left.
That lifted Orlando in front by one, after which Stoudemire worked the ball to Hill. He dribbled under the basket and lifted in a layup.
Rashard Lewis failed on a desperation three-point attempt just before the buzzer.
The Magic almost pulled out the victory after trailing by 10 at the end of three quarters.
Stoudemire, Steve Nash and Jason Richardson all scored 21 points and Hill finished with 15.
Orlando was led by 19 from Dwight Howard.
