LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Wayne Simmonds, Kyle Calder and Anze Kopitar scored goals Saturday night and the Los Angeles Kings beat Columbus 3-0.

Jason LaBarbera posted his second straight shutout, stopping 23 shots for the Kings, who stopped a three-game losing streak.

Simmonds' second goal of the season at 2:39 of the second period, with an assist by Patrick O'Sullivan, turned out to be decisive. O'Sullivan assisted on Calder's goal a little more than four minutes later and Kopitar wrapped up the scoring with an empty-net goal with 13 second left in the game.

Steve Mason made 15 saves on 17 shots for the Blue Jackets, who lost their second straight game and their fourth out of six overall.
