CHICAGO, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Cristobal Huet stopped 19-of-20 shots Sunday, helping the Chicago Blackhawks record a 7-1 rout of Phoenix.
Chicago quickly turned the contest into a laugher with a 4-0 first period, with Dave Bolland, Jonathan Toews, Dustin Byfuglien and Patrick Sharp (power play) all finding the back of the net against Ilya Bryzgalov.
Before it was over, Ben Eager scored twice, Andrew Ladd had a goal and three assists, while Martin Havlat and Colin Fraser both had two assists for the Blackhawks, who rose to 8-1-4 at home this season.
The Coyotes averted a shutout when Enver Lisin scored his fifth goal of the season at 19:17 of the second period.
Bryzgalov was beaten seven times on 28 shots for the Coyotes, who have lost two in a row.
On the power play, Phoenix went 0-for-2, and the Blackhawks went 1-for-6.
