COL FB: Pittsburgh 34, Connecticut 10

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Bill Stull threw two touchdown passes Saturday, leading No. 23 Pittsburgh to a regular season-ending 34-10 win over Connecticut.

He finished 10-of-18 for 141 yards with one interception. Both his touchdown passes came during a 24-point third-quarter explosion.

LeSean McCoy rushed for 95 yards on 24 carries, including a 47-yard third-quarter touchdown sprint.

Derek Kinder scored on a 61-yard pass from Stull and caught four passes for 87 yards for the Panthers (9-3, 5-2 Big East), who have won four of their last five games.

They accepted a Sun Bowl bid following their first nine-win season since 1982.

UConn quarterback Tyler Lorenzen completed only 6-of-27 passes for 80 yards with two interceptions.

Backup Zach Frazer had three passes intercepted in place of Lorenzen.

Donald Brown scored on a 57-yard third-quarter run and finished with one touchdown on 34 carries for 189 yards for the Huskies (7-5, 3-4), who have dropped three of four, but are bowl-eligible.
