LOUISVILLE, Ky., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Earl Clark's 16 points and nine rebounds keyed an 83-43 rout of Indiana State by 11th-ranked Louisville Saturday at the Marques Maybin Classic.
The winners, who played on their home court, Freedom Hall, opened a 21-3 lead on two free throws by Terrence William with 13:13 left before the break, and led 50-17 at the half.
They held a double-digit lead for most of the contest.
Williams scored 12 points with eight rebounds and seven assists. Samardo Samuels scored 11 with four rebounds, and Edgar Sosa had 10 points with five assists for the Cardinals (3-1), who won the battle of the boards 43-29 and had an 18-5 assist advantage.
Jay Tunnell's nine points and seven rebounds led Indiana State.
Brant Leitnaker added nine points and five rebounds for the winless Sycamores (0-6).
They finished with a paltry 28 percent shooting average.
