PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Patrik Elias tied the game with 90 seconds left in regulation Thursday and then tallied 2:46 into overtime to give New Jersey a 3-2 win over Philadelphia.
Elias slid a backhander through the pads of Martin Biron for the game-winner after taking a pass from Brian Gionta.
Zach Parise delivered New Jersey's other goal and Scott Clemmensen made 29 saves. The Devils have won six out of their last seven games.
Biron stopped 28 shots, but it was not enough to keep the Flyers from falling for the third time in four outings.
Philadelphia took a 2-1 lead with 4:28 remaining in regulation when Scottie Upshall scored on the power play. The Devils then killed off a minor penalty against Gionta and Elias scored moments after Gionta returned to the ice.
