SUNRISE, Fla., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Craig Anderson made 45 saves Thursday and the Florida Panthers scored twice in a span of 35 seconds in the second period to defeat Buffalo 2-1.

The Panthers won their third straight. The Sabers have lost three in a row.

Greg Campbell broke a scoreless tie with 4:18 to play in the second period and then assisted on Keith Ballard's goal with 3:43 to go. Other than that brief lapse, Ryan Miller made 23 saves.

Buffalo climbed within one on a power-play goal from Ales Kotalik midway through the third. Anderson was peppered with 18 shots in the final period.
