NHL: San Jose 5, Toronto 2

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Joe Thornton's goal and three assists Tuesday sparked San Jose to a 5-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Devin Setoguchi, Dan Boyle, Joe Pavelski and Marc-Edouard Vlasic also scored for the Sharks, who won their eighth straight. Evgeni Nabokov made 29 saves .

Nikolai Kulemin and Niklas Hagman scored for the Maple Leafs, who had won their previous two games. Vesa Toskala allowed five goals on 30 shots.
