CALGARY, Alberta, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Marty Turco turned back 36 Calgary shots Tuesday, backstopping the Dallas Stars to a 3-1 victory.

The game-winner came from Fabian Brunnstrom in the second period. Toby Petersen and Loui Eriksson got the other Dallas goals.

The Stars, who weren't distracted by the pre-game suspension of Sean Avery for off-ice and off-color comments about his ex-girlfriends, won consecutive games for the first time this season, while Calgary saw its win streak end at three.

Turco's strong game in the nets was a marked difference from the 3.61 goals-against average and .868 save percentage he lugged into the game.

David Moss got Calgary's only goal. Miikka Kiprusoff gave up two goals on 22 shots for the Flames.
