COL BKB: Tennessee 87, N.C.-Asheville 69

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Tyler Smith recorded the first triple-double in his school's history Wednesday, carrying No. 13 Tennessee past North Carolina-Asheville 87-69.

Tennessee Coach Bruce Pearl collected the 400th victory of his career.

Smith scored 12 points, had 10 rebounds and dealt out 10 assists. The Volunteers (6-1), who lost their first game of the season last Sunday to Gonzaga, also got 10 points from J.P. Prince and Cameron Tatum.

North Carolina-Asheville (3-4) was led by 14 points each from Reid Augst and John Williams.

Tennessee has won 35 consecutive home games.
