NBA: Washington 108, New Jersey 88

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Caron Butler's 22 points and 10 assists Tuesday sparked the Washington Wizards to a 108-88 victory over the New Jersey Nets.

Antawn Jamison added 22 points and eight rebounds for the Wizards, who came into the game having lost seven of eight. DeShawn Stevenson scored 21 points for Washington, which had been 0-11 in the NBA Eastern Conference.

Devin Harris scored 18 points for the Nets. Vince Carter added 16 for New Jersey, which snapped a three-game winning streak. Keyon Dooling had 14 points in the loss.
