BOSTON, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce scored 17 of his 24 points in the third quarter Monday, sparking the Boston Celtics to a 107-88 win over the Orlando Magic.
Ray Allen added 21 points, Rajon Rondo 16 points and 12 assists, and Kevin Garnett 15 points and nine rebounds for the defending NBA champions, who have won nine straight games and are 17-2 this season.
Rashard Lewis scored 30 points for the Magic, who had a four-game win streak halted. Hedo Turkoglu had 19 points and Dwight Howard 14 in the loss.
