COL BKB: Connecticut 79, Delaware St. 49

STORRS, Conn., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Hasheem Thabeet's 10 points, 17 rebounds and four blocked shots Monday helped second-ranked Connecticut to a 79-49 win over Delaware State.

Jerome Dyson added 15 points, and Jeff Adrien 12 points and six rebounds for the Huskies (7-0), who jumped to a big first-half lead and then nearly doubled the margin in the second half.

Donald Johnson scored 25 for Delaware State (1-9), which hit only 7-of-31 from the field in the first half and fell behind 44-18 at halftime.
