NHL: St. Louis 4, Atlanta 2

ATLANTA, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Brad Boyes' third-period power-play goal turned out to be the game-winner Sunday for the St. Louis Blues in a 4-2 win over the Atlanta Thrashers.

Boyes was assisted by Carlo Colaiacovo and Jeff Woywitka with 8:15 to play, sending the Blues ahead 3-2. Jay McClement added an empty-netter, assisted by Boyes, with 3 seconds left.

David Backes and Keith Tkachuk tallied the other St. Louis goals. Tkachuk's goal gave him 1,000 points in his NHL career.

Colby Armstrong and Niclas Havelid scored for Atlanta.

St. Louis goaltender Chris Mason stopped 28 shots. Ontrej Pavelec had 43 saves for Atlanta.
