CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Ty Lawson's 22 points and eight assists Sunday propelled top-ranked North Carolina's 116-48 decimation of outmanned UNC-Asheville.

The Tar Heels (7-0) accomplished their largest winning margin this season without All-America forward Tyler Hansbrough, who continues to recover from a preseason right shin injury.

Danny Green sank 6-of-8 three-pointers and finished with 18 points, three rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocked shots.

Deon Thompson scored 17 with nine rebounds.

Ed Davis scored 13 with 10 rebounds, while four other players scored in their highest point output in six seasons under Coach Roy Williams.

Jason Ridnour led Asheville with eight points and six rebounds.

Matt Dickey and Reid Augst also scored eight points, and three others scored six for the Bulldogs (3-3), who have lost three straight after starting the season with three wins in a row.

They held a 6-2 lead early which quickly ended in a 53-19 halftime deficit.
