COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Steve Mason's second shutout this season backstopped the Columbus Blue Jackets' 3-0 win over the Washington Capitals Saturday.

Mason turned away the 26 shots he faced, and the only goal he needed was scored by Raffi Torres at 8:01 of the first period. He also ended Alex Ovechkin's 10-game points streak.

Rick Nash scored twice, including a shorthanded, unassisted goal at 13:37 of the third.

Netminder Brent Johnson was beaten three times on 31 shots in the Capitals' fourth straight road loss. Johnson stopped 10 shots in the first half of the first period.

There were no power-play goals on eight combined man-advantage chances.
