
BOSTON, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- David Krejci had a goal and an assist Saturday and Manny Fernandez made 27 saves on 28 shots as Boston beat Detroit 4-1 for its second win this holiday weekend.
They beat the New York Islanders 7-2 Friday.
Krejci assisted on Blake Wheeler's eighth goal at 12:00 of the first period and scored his seventh goal of the season at 6:51 of the third.
Phil Kessel and Chuck Kobasew also scored once each, while Fernandez gave up Jiri Hudler's power-play goal in the second period when he was peppered by 15 shots.
Saturday's win made the Bruins 11-1-1 in the month of November and gave the Northeast Division leaders 36 points in the standings.
Netminders Chris Osgood and Ty Conklin combined to surrender four goals on 30 shots in Red Wings' third loss in their last four games.
On the power play, Detroit went 1-for-3, and the Bruins failed to score on its lone man-advantage opportunity.
